Biography

Dr. W.B.N.T. Fernando earned her B.Sc.(Hons). MLS degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She earned her PhD. in Clinical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. Currently she is a Lecturer in the department of Medical Laboratory Science, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ruhuna. She has engaged in many Research on CKDu. She has published several research articles (in international refereed journals) and abstracts in several Conferences in national & international level. Her current teaching & research interests include routine & novel biomarkers in CKDu, medical parasitology, medical microbiology and andrology.
