Biography
Nuwan Chanaka Gunarathne graduated with a Bachelor of honours of Physiotherapy (BSc (Hons) Physio) from the Faculty of Medicine, University ofColombo in 2013, and then he received a scholarship to follow a specialized course in rehabilitation, Prosthetics and Orthotics in the University of Salford, Manchester, England. He obtained his second degree with a first-class honour in 2015 and followed a career in training at few NHS hospitals in England. Then he joined the pioneering team for the development of a premier prosthetic and orthotic service in Sri Lanka, The Meththa Rehabilitation Foundation. He engaged in research, design, and manufacture an appropriate and cost-effective component which are used extensively in local limb build process.
