Biography

I received Bachelor of Pharmacy (Second Class Upper Division) degree in 2016 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna. I was awarded with the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute scholarship to pursue my Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, Bangkok, Thailand under the supervision of Prof. Prasat Kittakoop. I have completed my Ph.D. with effect from 02nd of November 2021. My Ph.D. thesis was titled as “Organocatalytic Deuteration of Organic Compounds and Isolation of Bioactive Secondary Metabolites from Avocado (Persea americana) Fruit and Its Microbiome.” My current research interests are on plant and microbial secondary metabolites, medicinal chemistry, plant microbiome and bioassays.
