Events
Cricket Fiesta - 2022
Both men and women championships were won
by the new comers, 13th batch students
showcasing their power of unity and the team
spirit. And the man of the match award was also
won by D.G.S.P. Jayasooriya from 13th batch.

Further, a friendly cricket match was held
between the non-academic staff team and the
champions of the boys’ teams. Again it was won
by the Boys of the 13th batch were the
Cricket Fiesta - 2022 is a cricket tournament
organized by the Sports Association (SA), Champions of the tournament.
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and the
University of Ruhuna as the first physical
activity that the SA were able to organize
adapting to the new normal condition in the
country in March of 2022 at the St. Aloysius’s
College ground.

Further, Cricket Fiesta - 2022 was the first
event organized involving all the batches
together which made the history of FAHS.
Eight teams (Girls and Boys) from the 10th,
11th, 12th, and 13th batches competed to win Winners were awarded valuable certificates and

were joined for the award ceremony.

Cricket Fiesta - 2022 provided the initial step of
bringing the talents of the undergraduates
through the aspect of sports. SA especially thank
Prof. Imendra Kotapola, Patron of the SA and
Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences,
University of Ruhuna, and Dr. Nirmala
Rathnayake, Senior Treasurer of SA and Ms.
Students were enthusiastic on the event day Chamilka Shamali, Instructor in Physical
