Awards and Achievements
The award was granted parallel to “Gold
medal selection for Convocation 2021”. He
has obtained the 2nd highest marks for this
award selection scheme of gold medal for best
postgraduate study (MPhil). The awarding
was done by the Vice Chancellor, University
of Ruhuna at the University premises.
Ms. GAM Prasadi, Senior Lecturer,
Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Allied
Health Sciences was awarded a National
Research Council (NRC) Merit Award - 2022
for a scientific publication titled “Pediatric
poisoning in rural Sri Lanka: an
epidemiological study”.
Dr. RHMPN Rathnayake, Senior Lecture,
Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied
Health Sciences was awarded, "The Most
Outstanding Young Researcher Award – 2021"
of the University of Ruhuna. It was awarded at
the 19th Academic Sessions and 18th Vice-
Chancellor Award Ceremony of the University
of Ruhuna on 2nd March 2022 held at the
Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna.
Mr. TUW Abeygunasekara, Senior Lecturer,
Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied
Health Sciences was awarded a “Certificate of
Excellence for good performance in generating
knowledge that has been accepted
internationally” during his MPhil in the year of
2022 by University of Ruhuna on 11th of
October 2022 at Matara.
