Technology transfer cell of faculty of Allied Health Sciences
Background
The University of Ruhuna initiated Technology transfer office and it is operational office in the arena of Technology Transfer and the process of commercialization of the products. Technology Transfer cell of the faculty of Allied Health Sciences, is an arm of the Technology Transfer office established for the recognition of the relevant potential research and researchers in the faculty.
Key tasks
- Identify key members for the faculty Technology Transfer Cell (TTC)
- Maintain documentation of monthly activities of the TTC
- Enhance the positive attitudes of academic members towards technology transfer and commercialization.
- Involve in active screening of potential products for patenting or commercialization the faculty
- Encourage faculty staff members for the development disclosure and protection of the University intellectual properties in the faculty
- Support research partnerships to commercialize the inventions from the faculty members through TTO
- Involve in continuous education in technology transfer stream in the faculty
- Encourage and establish start up and incubators for the possible inventions in the faculty
- Plan TTC activities in par with the University technology transfer office
